What does CPTG mean?

What does CPTG mean?

What Does CPTG Stand For?

CPTG” stands for “Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade” and is a registered trademark of dōTERRA.

What does CPTG mean?

This trademarked testing process certifies that there are no added fillers, synthetic ingredients, or harmful contaminants in their essential oils that would reduce their efficacy.

Why The CPTG Trademark?

To break it down into basic words.

Doterra wanted to create a trademark for their testing process and product that comes with a promise.

The promise of pure oils with no artificial fillers, high quality products from a sustainable source.

The “Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade” is simply part of DoTERRA’S trademarked testing process to ensure you get the quality oils you are promised.

What is CPTG Again??

C – What is certified?

Like supplements, essential oils are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.

The “Certified” in CPTG is to let you know, just like Certified Organic products, Doterra Oils have been through a testing process that does now allow any foreign chemical to pass through and be sold to consumers. This includes pesticides.

P – What is PURE?

Pure Essential Oil of course! so again, no nasty filler liquid or additives that are not pure and from a sustainable, ethical source.

TG – What is Therapeutic Grade?

This is where a lot of people get frustrated.

I understand this is a sore point for some in the industry.

Here’s how I would like to reason with anyone claiming that the CPTG trademark is “Fake” or otherwise.

Firstly, companies like Doterra and Young Living have put Essential Oil right out there, if you are a competitor – you should be having the time of your life!

However, a lot of people still think Essential Oil is just a trendy way to make your home smell nice.

Without education, people still struggle to understand what is just an “Air freshener” for your diffuser (i.e. $3 Oil at Kmart) and what has actual therapeutic value.

Yes, if I am spending $20 – $50 on a bottle of Essential Oil, I EXPECT it to have therapeutic properties.

Doterra make it incredibly clear with the term “Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade” that you are receiving a high quality product.

Repurpose ONE Image Into So MANY Different Pieces Of Content

Repurpose ONE Image Using ONE Simple Process.

To repurpose your images you need to know two skills.

  1. How To Create An Image (Tutorial Here)
  2. How to Reupload/Resize Images (Also in the tutorial)

If you do not have those skills, learn them before you even fill your brain with what I’m about to show you.

The ONE simple process you need to repurpose your image content is to Reupload/Resize.

This is all you are doing here unless you choose to edit/add things**

You are just repeating this for the different sizes you create.

Repurpose ONE Image several times.

Step 1. We started with a Facebook Post.

This was a cute recipe name brought up by a member in the group FREE Essential Oils Social Media Images.

Step 2. Using Magic Resize* in Canva, this was then turned into an Instagram Post.

Tip: To make this easy to read, condense your text by doing things like replacing “and” with “&” and “Minutes to “Mins”

Step 3. Using Canva, Open up a Pinterest Size Template or your preferable Pin Size.

Reupload your Instagram image onto a Pin, Edit around the rest.

Alternatively you can just make a new pin – but why take the extra time?

Step 4. Using Everything you now have, Whip up a blog post. Upload or Embed the images you already have.

Step 5. Pin your blog post to Pinterest. If it is a recipe or helpful tip, share it in groups that allow this.

This is where your repurpose adventure may end, however – look where this took me…You are here right now!

Here are my personal steps from here….

Step 6. Using all of the above images, create an image on “how to repurpose images”.

Step 7. Write a blog post, upload this image – this is where we are now.

Step 8. Create a Pin for the Blog post & create optional extra FB & Instagram images to promote blog post.

Look How I Repurpose ONE Image Into So MANY Different Pieces Of Content

  • Several pieces of content for social media.
  • Two different blog posts (One Essential Oil Recipe & One “How To” digital resource).
  • Pinterest Pins to produce traffic .
  • Printable Images for cute flyers and cards.
  • Extras: You can even make GIFS and Videos with your images
  • Extras….So many more possibilities, but Ill leave it here for now.

*For Canva NON-Premium Members, Instead of using RESIZE, Just download and Reupload your image into the size you are after.

** A beginner can certainly get away with creating images by just reuploading/resizing – ONE SIMPLE PROCESS ON REPEAT.

If you are intermediate, you may want to edit and add things based on the platform – as you can see in some of my variations here.

Stop Feeling Shamed For Putting A Price On Your Knowledge

Stop Feeling Shamed For Putting A Price On Your Knowledge

One minute you are putting out loads of content, showing others how to build up their business.

Next minute, you can’t get out of bed.

You can’t focus, you seem irritated and the fire has gone from your belly.

What happened?

You Thought You Could Be a Hero Is What Happened.

It’s quite simple, you overdelivered and received nothing in return.

Sure, you got praise.

Sure, your team thinks you are a hero.

Sure, you are getting a little raise in product commission.

But that doesn’t fix the absolute mental drain you are now suffering.

Trust me, I know this back to front.

Which is why I have a balance of FREE content and PAID content.

I know how to look after myself, and other people.

Charge If You Have Something That Will Make Others Money.

People are happy to pay premium memberships for services like Canva, Tailwind, Mailchimp.

All of these different tools help a business make money.

Why should you miss out when you are providing the same service?

Often it’s far more personal and will jumpstart a persons business overnight if they utilise your products properly.

There is NO SHAME in putting a price on your knowledge.

Let’s say you dragged your ass through mud for 15 years to gain the insights you have.

Why should you be shamed for not parting everything with a freshman?

The work, tears, fear, heartache , nights up late….for what?

Of course if you create something that will help someone else skip all of that – you deserve to be paid!

There is no shame, you should be proud you came out with something to offer.

We Need To Stop.

Stop the shaming. I get it, theres a lot of lame guru stuff going around at the moment.

But please, not everybody is looking for a quick buck.

Nobody is forcing anybody to buy anything.

We all have a product to sell, it just varies.

Essential Oil Slime Recipe Using Aroma Beads

We Created This Essential Oil Slime Recipe Using Aroma Beads

This is more a tip than anything for creating an essential oil slime mixture.

Has anyone with kids avoided the household slime craze? We certainly haven’t.

For a NON Borax slime recipe, visit here or here.

Alternatively Google and Youtube have so many options, you may find something suited to ingredients you already have in the home.

Whatever you use, its best to wear glove while creating your recipe. Ansell make kids size gloves in the cleaning section of woolworths.

Creating essential oil slime recipe using Aroma beads.

The best way to coat aroma beads with oil is to drop your favourite scent into a zip lock back and drop the beads into it.

Leave the beads in there for a couple of minutes to soak up the oil.

Once this has finished, complete the essential oil slime by hiding the beads within the slime.

This creates a beady texture and a fun hide and seek activity.

Creating the essential oil slime without the beads

Easy! for a non beady slime recipe simply use a bigger zip lock bag with a few drops of your favourite scent.

Put your slime in the bag and squish it around.

Once out of the bag, knead the slime until the oil has spread through.

Supporting Hormone Symptoms With Essential Oils

What Are Hormones?

Hormones (For eg. estrogen, testosterone & adrenaline) are chemical messengers that affect many aspects of your overall health.

Hormones are secreted by various glands and organs. These glands include:

  • thyroid
  • adrenals
  • pituitary, ovaries
  • testicles
  • pancreas

The entire endocrine system controls the level of hormones circulating throughout your body.

It only takes one of these Hormones to be slightly imbalanced and you may experience some health problems.

Hormone Imbalance Symptoms

  • Irregular periods
  • Weight gain or weight loss (that’s unexplained and not due to intentional changes in your diet)
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Changes in appetite
  • Digestive issues
  • Hair loss & hair thinning
  • Fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Low libido

If you think you have hormone issues, seek a doctors advice immediatley. It’s important to be fully informed and understand exactly what is going on with your body, before you make any decisions about treatment.

Modern Medicinal treatments for hormonal imbalances usually consist of prescribed medications, for example:

  • Synthetic hormone replacement therapies
  • Birth control pills
  • insulin injections
  • thyroid medications

Unfortunately, for the majority of people suffering from hormonal disorders, relying on these types of synthetic treatments often experience a series of side effects and are dependant of pharmaceuticals their entire lives.

There are a few reasons people use essential oils for Hormone support.

Sometimes Hormones aren’t necessarily imbalanced, We do go through changes during our menstrual cycle.

Stress and other factors can often lead to temporary changes in the body.

If you are on medication, Essential Oil can still be a wonderful complimentary support product.

You can support your anxiety and mood with essential oils, making these changes easier to tolerate.

It’s important to be well rested and enjoy a healthy diet alongside any treatment you pursue.

Essential Oils To Help Support You:

Clary sage helps to balance estrogen levels because it contains natural phytoestrogens. During your menstrual cycle, rub three to five drops on the abdomen for a soothing massage.

Fennel: Promotes a healthy metabolism & can be added to water or tea to help fight sweet tooth cravings.

Lavender: Lavender oil promote calm. Reduces anxious feelings and promotes peaceful sleep

Sandalwood: Frequently used in meditation for its grounding and uplifting properties. Inhale Sandalwood directly from palms or diffuse to lessen tension and balance emotions.

How To Format Your Instagram Stories So They Look Amazing!

Getting Your Instagram Stories To Look Right.

Instagram Stories are a fun experience for users and easy to scroll through.

With Instagram providing a sort of “Daily Digest” this makes it easier to be present everyday without having to curate a perfectly photographed piece of content.

This is a little tip for getting your content to look “Instagram Story” friendly.

Using Snapseed, the expand tool provides a way to size up your instagram stories so they fit neatly.

There are “Instagram Story” apps you can use however most creators already have Snapseed on their phone.

I figure, why download yet another app when you can use the one app for multiple things!

Choosing a Diffuser Jewellery Supplier

The main supplier I use for my diffuser jewellery is in Laos, (south East Asia, North of Thailand).

The market style manufacterer only employs adults and often sends photos of the ladies who create the items.

Laos is known for silk and local handicraft products which support the local economy.

Laos has an average federal minimum wage rate of $7.25 and Full Time workers earn a minimum monthly rate of $100. This is significantly higher than areas in Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia. While still considered a third world country, the Laos government has been working to achieve economic reform.

Choosing an overseas supplier is hard.

You have to weigh up a few things. One of those is wether the manufacturing process involves children.

While you can never 100% guarantee this isn’t the case unless you are visiting the country, you can request pictures and get to know the supplier a little better over time. It helps if someone int he company speaks reasonable english or you have somebody who can translate.

I have been importing products for years, you simply cannot ignore the things that go on in the industry. Always do your best to maintain a reasonable amount of dignity when choosing products.

Look after your suppliers – Don’t haggle down to their last piece of bread.

Look after your suppliers, they look after you.

While it’s okay to haggle in price, recognise that often in Eccomerce, you ate lucky to maintain a 25% return.

Trying to reach that 100% mark up is not worth participating in slave labour.

While some people are completely against imported products, you also have to take into consideration how a worker would feel if the entire worlds trade shunned their handcrafts tomorrow. They simply would not be able to feed their family without trade import.

Their is a balance to be achieved here. Some of it falls on the consumer as well who will often go for the lowest price they can possibly find.

When I can’t Get It from one place, I source it for another.

Not all of my items are from Laos, they don’t create everything I choose to stock.

Some of my items are imported from Hong Kong, usually from highly rated suppliers.

When a supplier is highly righted it means they have clean factory conditions & are transparent with their employee count and other factors.

I’d love to stock handcrafted items in Australia

I’m hoping 2018 brings some different partnerships with talented people in Australia who hand craft their products, with at least 70% home grown items.

If you do want to discuss this with me, contact me through my Facebook page in the sidebar.
