Make Learning Fun With Flashcards
These Garden themed Flashcards are designed to make learning fun and engaging. These cards are suitable for ages around 7+.
There are some difficult words, like “Watering Can” and “Sunlight” and some easy words like “Dig”. I wanted to make sure they could be used for storytime projects as well as classic Flashcards.
How To Use Flashcards With Kids
There’s more than one way to utilize Flashcards as educational tools. The following are very simple ways to use Flashcards.
I highly recommend discussing with your Occupational Therapist for different ways to engage your children if they have different learning needs.
Classic Show & Tell
- Show your child the card, have them read the word.
- Cover the word, have them spell the word.
- Have them use the word in a sentence
Story Time
- Spread the cards out
- Have your child construct a story, using as many cards as possible
Eg: The farmer uses water for the garden to help the seed grow into a sunflower.
Speak & Spell
- Spread the cards out on the floor
- Verbally say a card word out loud
- Have your child find the word in the pile
- Cover it, have them spell it or use it in a sentence
