Suttons Beach. Best Beach For Kids Waves, Brisbane. [VIDEO]

Suttons Beach is in the Moreton Bay Region.

It is a patrolled beach, perfect for families, especially if you have young children who can’t brave the big waves yet.

Some days are very calm, so you won’t get much wave action at all. Don’t tell the kids there will be epic waves to surf in on, just consider it as a bonus.

It’s the perfect spot for younger kids to start learning how to use a board. The “Kid sized” waves break close to the shoreline.

Suttons Beach is definitely one of the best beaches for young kids.

While the area is busy, and parking close to the shore can be difficult, its nothing compared to the craziness of Broadbeach or Surfers Paradise.

There are toilets, beach showers and free BBQ facilities available.

Disabled parking and ramp access is available at the beach.

The beach area is located along Marine Parade.

For accomodation at Suttons Beach, Redcliffe, I highly recommend checking out Air BnB.

Suttons Beach Lagoon

Settlement Cove Lagoon is a manmade swimming lagoon. The recreational swimming area is a very popular spot for families to cool off during hot Brisbane summers.

If you want to visit the Lagoon, try and arrive early as parking is quite hectic on the weekends. The lagoon has wheelchair ramp access and Life saving guards during the peak summer periods.
