Boomtrix allows you to create a trampoline course for your marble ball to navigate.
If your kids love marble runs or mousetrap, they will really enjoy Boomtrix.
TIP: We set up Boomtrix in our lounge room with a barrier around us using a few pillows so our marble balls didn’t run away under the furniture.
Boomtrix Difficulty Level
It took some patience and strategy to figure out how to create a successful course.
When the kids finally got their metal ball into the landing cup, there was a lot of excitement.
YAY! We Did It!
My children are 9 and 7 years old and did not find it too difficult.
In the starter pack, there are several trampoline bases and a trick hoop.
We started without the hoop, then introduced this once the kids got a hang of things.
STEM Activities & Learning Through Play
Plotting a course with Boomtrix flexes many of the skills in STEM learning.
Engineering a course as a team will really test your children’s organisation skills!
Building a successful course requires a lot of memory recall and spatial skills.
Spatial ability is the capacity to understand and remember the spatial relations among objects. This is a skill that is used to solve problems on a daily basis.
Some other skills I saw being put to work are:
- Creativity.
- Patience and perseverance
- Problem-solving + strategy skills
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Cognitive skills & spatial skills.
- Motor skills.
- Memory and recall.
This is a product that both adults and kids can enjoy. I had a great time working with my children to get their marbles into the cup. Love any product that promotes family time!
If your child is REALLY keen on engineering a master course, additional and more complex products are available. This includes multi-ball launchers, showdown pack, extra trampolines, and ball refill packs.
