Falling Inn Love is Netflix’s latest feature flick. The mushy rom-com has mixed reviews, racking up a 3 star rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Romantic Comedies aren’t generally oscar material, so all things considered, the overall reaction from viewers is pretty good.
Falling Inn Love kicks off with Gabriela (Christina Milian) struggling to make her way in the world. Her boyfriend has commitment issues and if that wasn’t enough, the company she works for goes bust.
Gabriela ditches the toxic masculinity of the corporate world when she wins an “Inn” located in Kiwiland. Of course, she bumps straight into Jake (Adam Demos) the Aussie blue-eyed hottie.
I mean, who wouldn’t want a man who wears flannel shirts like it’s 1857? Adam’s character, Jake, was a renovation expert who transformed a rundown inn into a picturesque bed and breakfast. It’s almost like they’re suggesting that being good with a hammer is a desirable quality in a man. Who knew?
This movie has quite a few funny moments, sleepy at times, but it’s perfect when a mushy rom-com is in order.
Gabriela is a total obnoxious bissshhh to Jake for the first 1/4 of the movie, but he still looks at her with those gazing blue eyes and eventually, she takes a dip in the ocean.
Jake the Blue Eyed hottie is hellah fine and of course, he’s perfect.
He’s the kinda guy that will wear your Mums knitted Christmas sweater, buy you tampons at the store and not even get mad when you back his ute into a pole…..
Falling Inn Love will require a large bucket of ice cream and no interruptions.
Jake (Adams character), He’s Hot, He’s buff and he packs a mean picnic.
He can fix a tap, is a firefighter, a beekeeper…the list goes on.
It’s no wonder women are swooning over Adam Demos when he has been cast into the role of Mr. Perfect.
If you’re looking for a movie that’s as predictable as it is cheesy, with a dash of wooden acting and a pinch of contrived romance, this is the one for you. Just don’t blame me if you find yourself booking a trip to New Zealand in hopes of running into a guy who’s good with a hammer and has an accent that makes your ears bleed.
