The 2021 Kids Movies We Have All Been Waiting For

A comprehensive list of the most anticipated kids movies coming out in 2021. Some films have experienced a delay in 2020 due to the pandemic, leaving release dates unknown or rolled over until the end of the year.

The film industry is slowly recovering however, some movies have gone straight to streaming services.

Cinderella (Retelling) – February 5, 2021

Cinderella – starring Camila Cabello – has been delayed from February 5 to July 16 due to COVID-19 concerns and widespread theater closures. Cinderella will be directed by Pitch Perfect writer and Blockers director Kay Cannon.

Raya & The Last Dragon – March 5, 2021

“Raya and the Last Dragon” takes us on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.

Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well.

Spirit Riding Free one of the famous netflix series is making its way to the big screen in 2021. Spirit Untamed will hit theaters on June 4, 2021.

All the original voice actors will be reprising their roles in the upcoming Spirit Untamed animated movie. The film logo, title, story and cast has also been released and it look quite interesting.

Ghostbusters Afterlife – June 11, 2021

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe.

In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan.

Luca – June 18, 2021 | Trailer

The story of a young boy Luca, who lives in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera. It’s a coming of age story about a boy experiencing an unforgettable summer. Luca is set to hit theaters Summer 2021.

Jungle Cruise – July 2021 | Trailer

The trailer was launched via a fun-filled Instagram Live featuring Dwayne Johnson, interacting with a boat full of skippers from the Jungle Cruise attraction at The Disneyland Resort.

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE is an adventure-filled, Amazon-jungle expedition starring Dwayne Johnson as the charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission.
