Listen To George Michael.
Because George Michael is gone and although he will be remembered, his music may not be a weekly thing on the radio in 100 years time. The world is becoming so fast and even the best musicians are in a rate race of constant changing minds and trends.
Today I listened to you George, on the radio when I heard you had passed away. Followed by a new song – which I don’t mind – but in comparison is sounded like trash pop.
George, You made women feel sexy. Women thought you were sexy. You showed that true talent can shine even in the face of adversity. You made fingerless gloves fashionable and fluoro tops all the rage. I’m sure the young people of today with their oversized T-Shirts with fat writing on the front don’t realise,
WHAM! ….That was you George.
Your music and video clips had people divided and showed the beauty in those who can accept people for who they are and exposed the ugliness in people who don’t. When the media mocked you, you mocked them back and then went on to become even more successful.
During my childhood, your music echoed through my soul, Freedom. Heaven knows I was just a young girl, but those fluoro bike pants and the urge to dance in my room all day to 90’s pop – That was you, George.
Coupled with Madonna’s cone bra’s the message was loud and clear,….
be who you want to be.
Listen To George Michael.
