Thompson’s Beach Victoria Point
Thompsons Beach is a favourite amongst locals. The recreational area is spread out with plenty of room for picnic spreads, ball games and a paddle in the water.
W H Yeo Park, Thompson Street has shaded BBQ facilities, toilets and variety of other features. The park has enjoyed several updates over the years, the most recent being additional covered seating.
Things to do at Thompsons Beach
- Enjoy one of two playgrounds
- Go swimming, paddleboarding or kayaking
- Work out at the outdoor gym
- Ball games on the grass area
- Have barbeque or picnic
- On a windier day, watch parasailers
- During low tide, go crab spotting
- During high tide, go fishing
- Go for a walk or ride along the esplanade
- Play basketball on the half-court
- Take your dogs for a walk
Thompson’s Beach is one of The Redland’s premium swimming areas as the water is generally clear with minimal weed. Beware of the stinger, stonefish, and occasional algae warnings.
