Day Trip To Yarrabilba, Darlington Park Water Playground
I hope you enjoy our Video Review Of Yarrabilba Water Playground.
The Darlington Parklands is dubbed a “super park” and is one of the newer playgrounds in the area. Yarrabilba is settled between Brisbane and the Gold coast area, not far from Logan.
It’s nothing short of amazing and the kids had a fantastic time. The playground equipment is both functional and beautiful. Made of timber and rock features it blends into the bushland backdrop. The Yarrabilba project is managed by lend-lease. They have seen through a commitment to provide spacious areas for the community among medium – dense housing.
Just to be clear, don’t pack your goggles and floaties. The water is just over ankle deep, which is fantastic for young kids who will still need constant supervision, but you can at least tie your shoelace without too much concern.
The Water Play area and playground have heaps of seating and grass area available for picnics or ball games. The list of pros are pretty long for this park, here are just a few:
- Barbeques
- Great Parking
- Huge Grass Picnic Area
- Block Of Public Toilets
- Plenty Of Bins
- Outdoor Gym
- Caged Basketball Court
- Water Play Area
- Plenty Of Seating
- Twin Flying Fox
- Several Slides, Climbing Equipment
- Plenty Of Signage
- Free Wifi
- Surrounded by Bushland & Ponds
The outdoor gym also has kids sized equipment, which is so fantastic. I have done a little research on the park and in the past outdoor cinema events and light shows have been held. You can stay up to date with events in Yarrabilba HERE.
