Flagstone Park. I Think It Lives Up To The Hype!

Flagstone Park is one of southeast Queensland’s largest playground developments. The newly built Flagstone community is home to the multimillion-dollar adventure playground and recreational area.

The entire park project is a 12 million dollar development, with 2 million dollars invested in the playground area. Money well spent, It’s clearly a huge drawcard to live in the Flagstone community.

There has been a lot of buzz about the new super park and whether or not it’s worth the trip for outsiders. We live in the Redlands area, so the adventure park was almost an hour drive.

I considered the highway tolls involved in the trip along with the travel time. I also considered the cost of an indoor playground or trampoline center, which only provides around 2 hours of play.

Flagstone park really is a powerhouse playground. We spent around 4 hours enjoying the facilities, the kids would have been happy to spend the entire day.

Flagstone Playground Highlights

11 Metre Tower

You can’t miss the Flagstone tower as you roll into the carpark. The kids squealed with delight when they spotted the massive structure. The tower hosts two twisty sides and some activities on the way up.

19 Metre Skybridge

The skybridge provides an aerial walkway from the 11m tower to the adjacent sky cabins.

Sky Cabins

The Sky Cabins sit on top of a giant octanet, a climbing structure for your kids to unleash their inner jungle spirit. The sky cabins  are home to two huge slides, even your teenagers will love these.

Twin Flying Fox

The flying fox has two platforms, each with a flying fox. With a playground that has so much traffic, it’s great to see a twin flying fox. Lets race!

The Ramp

I can only assume the spectacularly built concrete ramp is access for cyclists, vehicle and wheelchairs

Do you have a plasma car? UNLEASH YOUR INNER SPEED DEMON…. be respectful to other traffic on the ramp of course.

Swings – Lots of swings!

Single swings, baby swings AND rope platform swings.

Bouncing, Spinning and more climbing things!

Throughout the playground area, there are spinning activities, see-saws, smaller climbing gyms, and bouncing nets.

Toddler Park

Every great playground has a seperate area for toddler play. The ONLY drawback here is that its not separately fence. They had the room to do so and we know parents so desperately want fenced areas for younger kids.

Nearby Dog Park

Not just any dog park! Its a splash and play dog park. The spurting water can be seen driving past the enclosures. The dog park has segregated areas for small and large dogs.

Recreational Areas

The playground area has soccer goals which also have basketball hoops along with a half court.

The Skate park is small but creatively designed. The Flagstone skate park features a vert wall, quarter pipes, flat area, and boxes to grind, or sit on and drink 7/11 slurpies.

I like the fact the skate park is included in the playground area, not far away without adult supervision.

Future Water Playground Development In Flagstone

The developers of Flagstone have announced a water play park in December 2019.

The water recreational area will include a 10m climbable treehouse water feature, cascading tree-shaped waterfalls, including jets and blasters.

BRB, Moving to Flagstone…..
